CHRONIC PAIN AR
Measuring pain objectively is one of the biggest challenges for physicians. Physicians also receives limited pain education during the course of their medical training and as a result very limited understanding of the pain pathology. This perpetuates the misunderstanding of the psychosocial factors to chronic pain in patients.
Our objective was to design an educational app experience to increase physicians understanding and awareness of chronic pain management for their patients. With a limited budget, my team and I were torn between a story-driven video interactive video experience or projection based augmented reality. So we went with AR as its a much engaging method of hooking physicians.
The toughest part of this project was that we were designing for two scenarios. One for single HCP usage and another for a representative-led usage (the medical rep would walk the physician through the app). The scenario and environment of usage would would totally impact the UX. So worked the user flow so that both can exist in the same UI.
